Do you live in an older home in Sonoma? Are you curious about your home's past? It could be l isted in the Sonoma Valley Historical Resources Survey!
In 1978, with a grant from the County Landmarks Commission, the League began preparing the Sonoma Valley Historical Resources Survey under the auspices of the City and County of Sonoma. The survey is an inventory of historic properties and includes structures from Kenwood to the Carneros Region. Each survey document provides important information that identifies and describes the property including its past and present owners, physical appearance of the structure, and the historical or architectural significance of the site including people and events associated with it. The League is currently updating and expanding the survey. Copies of the extensive docurment are available for inspection at Vasquez house, Sonoma City Hall and the Sonoma County Planning Department.
